Today we’re starting a new game. Or rather, a really old game. We’re going to recreate Pong.
In this project, we’ll learn:
- How to create a game in Unity using the 2D tools
- How to create assets for our games
- Additional scripting to make our game come alive
This project will likely take us two to three days to finish.
At the end of the day, we were able to create our own Background and Player assets using Paint.NET. We placed the assets directly in our 2D project, changed some of the properties, experimented with layers, and we added some movement script to our player so that it could move up and down.
