Web pages need a web server. This week, we are going to look at hardware, and set up a very common, non-Windows based server for hosting the web pages the students create in the club.
Unfortunately, due to lack of participation, Monday’s club was cancelled.
Wednesday, we had two students, so we went over the basics of HTML.
The main ideas to take away include:
1. HTML is about merging Content and Presentation
2. HTML is about starting tags, including content within the tags, and closing the tags
3. Everything you view inside a web browser is HTML ultimately HTML, whether it has been created as a static page, or generated by an application.
With the continued lack of students, this is the last day of Computer Club for the 2014 Fall semester.
